Sasha runs a monthly life-drawing session, with a focus on creativity and joy.

Life-drawing traditionally involves a nude or semi-nude model, and poses ranging from 30 seconds to 20 minutes to draw them.

Open to beginners and long-time drawers, she offers creative prompts and technique tips, to help you find inspiration in the body, and enjoy the drawing process. Drawing from life is hard but (I) believe there is joy, relaxation and (//) to be found if we free ourselves from the drive towards perfection. (I) try to foster an kind, (open-minded?) environment.

Sessions are sometimes themed, with past sessions including drawing a Salsa dancer in action, and experimenting with colour and mark-making.

The class is hosted in the beautiful and cosy Maslow’s member’s club (no need to be a member to come). Materials are provided.

The next session is coming up on 2nd May at 3pm:
